Symphony City by frostyshadows Symphony City by frostyshadows
Hope everyone likes it! This started out as a doodle in class, but I ended up really liking the idea :) gosh drawing all those circles took forever. First winter break work done, 3 more to go!

A bit of the bottom and right got cut off when I was scanning. The piano's there at the botton because I ran out of ideas and thought hey pianos are pretty! And when I think about it it would be so cool if there was some utopian city with an underground piano as their source of energy.

Some of the best works start out as a doodle in class.

I love this- it has such a whimsical quality to it.

I love this kind of illustrations! I'd never be able to do anything like this... (I'm more the type of person who needs to plan out everything before I start drawing...)
But what this piece is missing is some crispiness to it... Have you ever worked with Adobe Illustrator? Or as freeware alternative Inkscape? You should really make a vector Illustration of this! That way you could fix up some minor things, get perfect crispiness and you'd be able to scale it up or done us much as you want without quality loss! You could even print posters with Illustrations like this!

I'm not sure how vectors work...the lack of crispness bothers me too :/

It's creating pictures from shapes created with paths rather than pixels.
Have a look at Adobe Illustrator or Inkscape (freeware)
