Looks good. One of my friends that is an artist has an interesting trick that helps her bring more out in her work. She paints on neutral canvas or backgrounds like a grey or medium tone and then paints the shadows and highlights. I know in art class we did stuff on black paper. I like the idea of working forward and backward though. It's interesting to see the various techniques that artists use and try new techniques. Keep working on your dreams. They say the Beetles played and practiced over 10,000 hours before they got to the point of fame and notoriety that we still remember them for today.
As long as you believe in yourself, your work, your skills and ability and you know you can do it and you are willing to do the work, you are going to achieve some awesome and wonderful things.
I like it. The mix between pencil crayons and watercolor is a unique and creative twist. Overall, I can tell that you worked on the hair the most. So much detail..! I like how you can most of the strands. I also like how this is on the line between real and 'unreal'.
